Separation Anxiety

Boober
Baby J. has started going through separation anxiety. She's been extremely clingy, always wanting hugs, never likes to get too far away from either my wife or myself. If she can see my wife, but she's not within two or three feet of her, Baby J. will do everything within her power to get closer to my wife. It's ok, when my wife isn't around, but when she is say getting dressed, getting ready for the day, while I watch Baby J., for however long it takes my wife to get ready, I'm holding a cranky, struggling baby that is trying her darnedest to get out of my arms and into my wife's.
She also doesn't do too well with strangers now, especially men. She's afraid of men, especially if they're tall and have any sort of facial hair. She doesn't mind it when I have a beard, but god forbid a man she doesn't know too well anywhere near her with a beard. She will cry, while she keeps staring back and forth between her mommy and the stranger.
I don't know when babies usually go through this. I think it's around this time. What's funny though is it makes me and my wife feel really good. When she sees someone who's a little scary to her, she will scurry away from them as quickly as possible, climb up one of us, and then grapple us with her arms and hold on for dear life. It's sweet, and I like being one of two people that Baby J. trusts to protect her from the strangers of the world.
