Rambunctious, Tireless, Ever-Moving, Unstoppable Baby
Last night, Baby J. ran mouth-first into the ottoman in our living and cut open her lip. The ottoman is soft; it's essentially a big cushion that we have in place of a coffee table, and she still managed to hurt herself. She never stops moving.
Never ever stops.
This is what I get for being the same way as a kid. I used to run around the interior of the house, going around and around and around in circles, as if I had some sort of limitless energy supply, and while my mom or grandparents or whomever looked on at me and felt exhausted just seeing how much energy I was burning, I never stopped.
And neither will Baby J.
I feel like as part of the New Year, I need to get in tip-top shape just to keep up with my child. I have a feeling she's going to be a runner like I was. I have a feeling she'll be outrunning most adults before she's 3. Now, the trick for me will be staying as physically fit as possible so she can never outrun me.
It's that or I tie a rope to her waist and attach said rope to a pole in the middle of the yard so she just runs about in circles all day until she ties herself up against the pole.
