My 11-month old daughter is in love with her belly. Every time we ask her, "Where's your belly?" She throws up her shirt and she shows us.
She's absolutely fascinated by her own belly and other people's bellies. She plays with her belly button and pokes other people's belly buttons. We crack up at how excited she gets every time she rediscovers her little belly.
I thought I'd throw up this new picture of the baby. I think she looks all knowing here, like she's up to something or she's plotting something against me. I can't explain it. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but my child is smart, maybe a little...too smart.
My daughter is turning 1 years old in a few weeks, and I'm looking back at all of the videos of her, and I found this video of her ultrasound taken about four months before she was born. It's amazing to look back now and think of how we couldn't wait until we got to see her. It was all we could talk about. And even though she's here now and been here almost a year, we still can't really believe it.
My daughter's first birthday is right around the corner. I can't believe it's been almost a year already since she's arrived. I'm debating what to get her for her birthday. She mostly needs clothes, but I'm thinking I might get her a brand new, delux tupperware set, since her favorite thing in the world is playing with tupperware lids on the kitchen floor.
It was funny because we had a friend's baby over the other day, and he too went right for the tupperware dishes. What's it about tupperware that is like a giant baby magnet? I wish adults were like that, just have some friends over, and you all plop down in the middle of the kitchen floor, bust out the tupperware and go to town throwing lids around, putting smaller tupperware inside larger tupperware, oh the possibilities are endless.
