I’m a 27 year old dad with a nine-month old daughter. A couple times a month, I have a “Daddy Daughter Day”, where my wife goes out to one of her writer’s meetings or out with some friends, while Baby J. and I spend quality time at home. These are my absolute favorite days. Not that I don’t enjoy the time I share with my wife, mind you. It’s just, nothing beats that one-on-one time I get to have with my daughter. Nothing beats making her laugh, playing games with her, reading her books, feeding her a bottle, rocking her to sleep, hearing “da da” said about a bazillion times and never really tiring of hearing it.

So, that’s in essence what this blog is about, a guy who happens to be a dad sharing the good times, the scary times, the sad times, the goofy stories, the laughs, and all the hiccups along the way.

I’ll be signing all my posts “D.” as in Dad. My daughter will remain “Baby J.”, until she gets a little older, then maybe I’ll just call her “J.” I hope to hear from readers their own experiences as parents, especially other dads.
